BCA Journal April 2013, Journal IndexApr 13
Friends, this month there is a definite message in its name. The message is as clear as it sounds. ‘MARCH’ — March towards your goal and achieve it !
If one acknowledges that a C.A. exam symbolises an ‘acid test’, then one should unconditionally agree to this fact that it is a person’s perseverance and sincere efforts which act as ‘Litmus Papers’ in turning his dream into reality. Well that was a very scientific perspective of the prerequisites to register a victory in this professional exam.
BCAS in its quest to empower the chartered accountancy fraternity has been a principal centre for learning and promoting alround development and excellence. Our eternal pursuit to provide students an environment conducive for self-development and encouragement to achieve their potential continues in the form of under mentioned forthcoming events to be held in the next two months :
Comprehensive 2-day workshop on Mergers & Acquisitions.
Elocution & Quiz Contest for C.A. Students.
Students Get-together with some vital gyan-daan from somebody most popular and dear amongst C.A. students.
In the recent past, the HRD Committee had organised the following workshop :
Programme
Public Speaking and Effective Communication Workshop

Members and Students pursuing CA Studies
Faculties
Murli Mehta, Vivek Patki
It fills our heart with pleasure to announce the thumping success of this workshop. We received a phenomenal response from students. We have had to revise our maximum enrolments to be allowed for the workshop looking at the wonderful response.
The participants displayed great zeal in participating in every discussion, expressing their views and personal experiences, adopting various principles/techniques in their own context and sharing it with fellow participants. The team spirit and bonding in the participants was evident when one often noticed fellow participants supporting and voicing similar views and at times having a healthy debate on different views on a given issue.
One of our workshop participants shared with us how this workshop helped her. We are extremely happy to know that our efforts are moving in the right direction. We intend to carry on the good work and bank on our members to spread the message of our programmes.
We would like to share her noteworthy viewpoints with all of you.
"Firstly, I am really thankful to BCAS for giving me such an opportunity to write an article. And of course, I would also mention that this all happened since I got a chance to attend the seminar for Public Speaking Course held at BCAS. I am truly grateful to them. The seminar was a real change in my personality.
At the end, I must acknowledge that I enjoyed every moment of being in BCAS. It is said that every good thing that starts must come to an end. But it is not true in this case. I would be really happy if I would be associated with BCAS in some way or the other. And with all due respect, I thank the society once again for giving me such an opportunity."
